Complex, Aromatic, Sweet.
The fourth character in our Profile Series, The Auctioneer. This means Auction Lots only, these are the most sought after and prestigious coffees we can find. The Auctioneer 009 was purchased from The Best of Yemen, The Private Collection Auction 2020 by Alliance for Coffee Excellence and Qima, where it featured as Auction Lot 9. The International Jury/Sensory Panel scored this lot an impressive 88.9, making it the highest scoring natural community lot of 2020. Internally Macondo & Friends have cupped this at 88.25 - a full cupping form is to follow.
Yemeni coffee is a truly unique experience, it's difficult to compare its cup quality to anywhere else in the world. Yemenia brings the cup brilliance and complexity along with exceptional sweetness, whilst the natural processing presents delicate fruit forward notes.
