The fourth character in our Profile Series, The Auctioneer. This character represents Top 10 Auction Lots, these are the most sought after and prestigious coffees in the world. The Auctioneer 008 is part of Auction Lot 8 from The Cup of Excellence Peru 2020 by Alliance for Coffee Excellence. Macondo & Friends cupped this as a solid 87-88 - the International Jury/Sensory Panel scored this lot an impressive 88.73, making it the highest scoring natural lot ever in Peru.

Eli has worked with coffee since he was a teenager, saving to buy his own land and a house, he now lives on a 4 hectare plot in Las Pirias, Chirinos. His hard work puts him in the position where he can now invest in his coffee - with a recent purchase of a Solar Dryer to experiment with drying and natural lots, the team was able to increase his cup score by about 3 points.

Taste & Aftertaste Prominent apple, dried cranberries and berry jam. Milk chocolate and brown sugar sweetness which cools through guava notes to more delicate white grape. Bright acidity, light, juicy and elegant - cools well, long finish and good structure.
