El Encanto - Geisha - Colombia
BACK IN STOCK
El Encanto means 'the charm' kept by Juan Saldarriaga - one of his two farms, this is considered their retreat since it's his father's favourite farm. The small farm is in Antioquia, Colombia and has some awesome views, as well as a very bright future. Since taking over the farm Juan has been experimenting with different cultivars and altitudes, but also with the drying and processing - it's Juan's innovative approach to farming that creates such high quality results.
The finca is located near the city of Bolívar, Antioquia at 1380 - 1800m altitude, and whilst we have chosen to bring you the Geisha, this farm has a lot more to offer with Castillo, Tabi, Sl 28 varietals and more, as well as natural reserves and forest covering about 14ha of the 60ha lot. We hope we can share more of Juan's coffee soon.
A fine example of Colombian geisha, this is a transparent cup giving aromas of white flowers, bright ripe flavours of orange and clementine with some hibiscus and a long round finish.
